Paper presentation guidelines in work update meetings
Your seminar will involve reading at least 10 papers for you to build a story to present during your evaluation. This will be a launching pad for your MTP too. Since you will present these papers in the work update meetings, please read the guidelines below for such updates.
- Clear statement of the the problem the paper handles (in terms of input and output; slide 1)
- Motivation of the problem (slide 2)
- Literature survey as given by the paper (slide 3)
- What gap does the paper fill- its novelty and contributions based on slide 3 (enumerated list; slide 4)
- Dataset (VIMP, give sources, stats and distributions; slide 5)
- Technique (architecture if DNN; try to give the intuition of the DNN; Slide 6)
- Results in numbers, charts, graphs (copy tables, graphs with due credit; slide 7)
- Qualitative observations if any and is enlightening (slide 8)
- Summary and conclusions as given by the paper but in your own words (slide 9)
- Future work as mentioned in the paper (slide 10)
