Guidelines (cntd.) for Seminar and/or RnD report writing
NOTE:
- All chapters should have minimum 2 pages and maximum 10 pages
- All reports must have an abstract (mandatory)
- Synergy between abstract and future work
- References should follow ACL style referencing for thesis, RnD or seminar
Chapter 1: Introduction
Structure of introduction should be typically 2 pages.
Should have typically 3-4 sections, as below:

Section 1.1 should have the problem statement or study objective. Heading should be “Problem Statement” for RnD report and “Study Objective” for seminar report.

Section 1.2 should be motivation or study. Heading should be “Motivation” for RnD and “Study” for seminar.

Section 1.3 should have “Contributions” as heading. This section should only be added for an RnD report and NOT for seminar report.

Section 1.4* should have the roadmap or chapter organisation. Heading should be “Roadmap” for RnD and “Chapter Organisation” for seminar.
*While writing a research paper section 1.4 should deal with the organisation of the paper.
Chapter 2: Background
This chapter deals with the Concepts, Definitions and Terminology of the selected topic of seminar or RnD.
Chapter 3: Literature Survey
This chapter can be organised in two ways, as follows:
- For research paper/thesis/RnD cover the works of competitors
- For seminar cover anything related to the topic in concern. (Elaborate as much as possible)
(Applicable only for RnD)
- Chapter 4: Experiments
- Chapter 5: Results
(Applicable for Seminar)
- Chapter 4: Methodology
- Chapter 5: Results (Optional)
Last Chapter: Summary, Conclusion, Future Work
This chapter should have three sections:

Section (x*.1) should have heading “Summary” giving a succinct summary of the topic.

Section (x.2) should have heading “Conclusion” giving the learning and insights gathered from the process.

Section (x.3) should have three more sub-sections:
- x.3.1. Immediate future work
- x.3.2. Mid-term future work
- x.3.3 Long-term future work
*x is the last chapter number
